Overview
When you know that this is the highest altitude lodge in Uganda, you’ll understand why it is called ‘Clouds’. Owned by the community, it has a long-standing connection to mountain gorilla conservation and is a convenient base for treks into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Built of volcanic rock, which gives the lodge a distinct organic feel that perfectly suits its surroundings, Clouds has wonderful views to the Virunga volcanoes over pristine rainforest. Inside it is scattered with original artwork specially commissioned from talented Ugandan artists. Each of the cottages has a lounge, deck and fireplace while the family cottages are suitable for small groups travelling together. A discreet and friendly butler service while the spa offers very welcome post-trek massages!
