Quina Fourie from Biggestleaf Travel helped us organize a absolutely amazing trip to Madikwe Impodimo plus stopover in Fourways and from and transportation to and from the airport.Not sure how to start so let’s begin with some perspective. We have traveled most of South Africa, including Kruger, been on safaris across Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. Every place has its uniqueness and beauty. Our five nights over Christmas in Impodimo in Madikwe Game Reserve offers all you can wish for and the gamedrives were fantastic. We saw the big 5, and cheetahs, black rhinos and so much more. This is a top spot for game watching!! The luxury suites features private deck where we, between game drives, watched elefants, girafs, zebras, kudus and impalas passing through - and it was pretty much constantly. Our ranger and our tracker were superb. The food is lovely (with new ala carte to choose from every day) and the staff was very friendly and service minded. In the rooms you have complementary minibar and on the main deck, pool area and even in the hide all services are available. Did I also mention that Madikwe is malaria free. Before arriving at the hotel we had a sightseeing tour through Soweto and at Mandela's house. We got many impressions and historical facts about this district and all over Joburg. I usually take things into my own hands when booking and planning vacations. But I used BiggestLeaf to book a stay at Umoya Safari Lodge as well as return transportation from Tambo airport. Jenny was an absolute delight in helping us get everything in order with our stay and answering every question we had. She made it so easy. And for us, the highlight of using BiggestLeaf was the transfer from Johannesburg to Pilanesberg. Not only did it make the 3-hour drive each way stress-free. Our drivers were amazing! Moses and Obi were simply incredible. It was like getting a 3-hour guided tour. We learned so much about the communities, the culture, Pilanesberg Reserve and the animals. Obi's passion for sharing his knowledge was incredible. And they both spoke so highly of BiggestLeaf, so you know it's a well-run company who cares for its employees.Do yourself a favor and use BiggestLeaf. We had the absolute best trip coordinated through Biggest Leaf - Daniela worked with us for multiple years (through the pandemic) to coordinate our trip and was so understanding and helpful through all of the pivots and changes. We coordinated two different couples with different arrival plans and she (and the team) was an absolute dream! Our transport coordination was seamless, the actual transport to and from the safari was comfortable, clean and the driver was so nice. Our trip alone was one of the best things we've ever done (Etali Safari Lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa). I couldn't recommend Biggest Leaf, or Etali enough.
