Overview
Monolithic exteriors that look as if they were hewn by ancient tribes belie the dazzling interiors at Earth Lodge. This is one of South Africa’s most distinctive Big 5 lodges that combines the roughness of stone with the smoothness of marble, the softness of earth tones with the warmth of polished wood. Suites are large with expansive views right onto the bush – you could spend your whole safari snuggled on a sofa or in your private pool and still have sightings!
Earth Lodge was the first in the country to receive IUCN-SA Fair Trade in Tourism accreditation. It is part of Sabi Sabi Game Reserve, which was founded in 1979. If you’d like to splurge for a special occasion, settle into the other-worldly Amber Villa…
