Overview
If you’re staying at Mosselberg on Grotto Beach from mid-year to around October, bring your binoculars so you can spot breaching southern right whales from the deck, a true highlight of any visit to Hermanus, which boasts the best land-based whale watching in the world.
In addition to whales, Mosselberg also has lovely ocean and mountain views, and is within walking distance to beautiful Grotto Beach. All rooms and suites are individually decorated, and ideal for couples or solos. During the day, explore Fernkloof Nature Reserve, hike the Kleinrivier (Little River) Mountains or play a round of golf nearby. After dinner in the evenings, head to the games room for a few sets of pool or ping-pong before going to bed.
