When To Visit

Peak Season: May to July
A great time to book a suite with a hot tub so you can settle in with your binoculars and see what game passes by.
Green Season: October to March
An emerald summer season thanks to rain showers that generally pass fairly quickly.
Shoulder Season: April, and August to September
Great times to visit as autumn and spring respectively bring changes in birdlife and animal behaviour.

Overview

The Big 5 become the Super 7 at Klaserie Private Nature Reserve where, in addition to lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, there are regular sightings of cheetah and wild dog. After the excitement of a dawn game drive, you are welcomed back to Waterside for more thrilling game viewing right at the dam’s edge. This contemporary lodge earns its name with spectacular water vistas, including those from some of the suites.

A children’s club takes care of the youngsters with everything from art to archery while adults can peruse the wine cellar, hit the gym or unwind in the spa. All suites are very comfortable with little touches like electric blankets in winter to ensure a perfect stay.
