Overview
The Marine, as it’s known, has a history as old as the town’s and a prime position on the rocky cliffs overlooking Walker Bay. When the whales arrive at Hermanus, pods of them can be spotted directly from the lawn in front of the hotel – an awe-inspiring sight!
Inside, expect a combination of old-school charm and modern glamour, with a gentle seaside colour scheme to reflect the coastal fynbos and Atlantic found outside. The Carchele Spa will help you unwind while a swim in the heated pool or bracing dip in the tidal pool will either warm you up or cool you down. There are two restaurants and the pet-friendly hotel is within walking distance of beaches and the quaint town centre.
