DAY 1+
After a long flight into Entebbe International Airport, near the shores of Africa’s largest lake, you will be in the safe hands of your expert driver-guide who will ferry you to your overnight accommodation. Hotel No 5 is arguably the city’s top boutique hotel and a short drive from the airport. But, once you are cocooned in your beautiful room, it will feel worlds away. DAYS 2 TO 4+
Excitement mounts as you land at Kihihi Airstrip after your light aircraft flight from Entebbe. As always, your experienced guide will be waiting to whisk you to Bwindi Lodge, one of the most remote in the area and your accommodation for three nights with a personal butler to look after you. The opportunity to trek rare and endangered mountain gorillas is the drawcard here and, when you find them, you will have an hour to appreciate just how relatable they truly are. DAY 5+
Short, sweet and stunning: surely the best way to sum up your past few days! Bwindi Lodge offers wonderful gorilla treks and plenty of time for birding, watching the antics of various monkeys and taking a moment to savour it all… Today you retrace your steps to Kihihi Airstrip, give your guide a final goodbye and fly to Entebbe International Airport for your flight home.
