OVERVIEW
The fruit of kigelia trees bears a striking resemblance to fat sausages, which in turn shares its name with this chic and elegant lodge on the Luangwa River. A striking feature is the 25-metre lap pool that runs parallel to the river – perhaps you could time yourself against a hippo or two! Inside, minimalist mid-century décor in subdued tones enhances the spectacular view and provides a serene atmosphere to return to after an exciting day of tiger fishing, night drives, canoeing, boating and walking.
Whatever you need will be discreetly arranged by your personal muchinda or butler, like an ice-cold G&T to enjoy. Kigelia House is the two-bedroom villa with its own pool and lovely views – perfect for small groups.
