OVERVIEW
Not for nothing is Victoria Falls Town known as Africa’s adventure capital: the river and gorge provide everything from class 5 white-water rafting to microlighting and bungee jumping. But after all that heart-stopping excitement, it’s wonderful to return to The Wallow Lodge, a relaxing haven on the banks of the Masuwe River. Situated in the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary, a private concession in Victoria Falls National Park, means you are never far from the riverine wildlife that have called this area home for thousands of years.
The lodge has spacious tents that have unusual features like showers lined with corrugated zinc sheets – a classic building material in Africa – and the tasteful use of traditional chitenge cloth throughout.
