OVERVIEW
The Victoria Falls Hotel is always called ‘the grand dame of the Falls’ and it’s not hard to see why. The ambiance is that of an English country house that was transported to one of the most beautiful locations along Batoka Gorge, with convenient access to all the town’s major sites. Although the service is discreet and the interiors elegant, the hotel is very much of the 21st century with a hair salon, gym, spa, airport shuttle service, sculpture garden and art gallery all on the grounds.
Touches of the past remain: the Bulawayo Room feels like an old-school men’s club, Stanley’s Terrace serves proper afternoon tea and the Livingstone Room offers dinner while an accomplished pianist provides a soothing atmosphere.
