OVERVIEW
Imagine the pared-down Zen architecture of Japan placed amid a rare coastal sand forest and you begin to have an idea of Forest Lodge. Your suite glows by night as the wrap-around windows give up-close views of the trees – and shy bushbuck that live among them. Inside, pale tones contrast with the deep green vegetation, giving you a ‘treehouse’ at ground level.
The rest of the lodge is as awe-inspiring. Between dramatic safari activities that include helping conservationists with tagging or trips to the Phinda coastline, hang out with the chef in the interactive kitchen or browse the handmade and painted ceramics in the gallery. At night, the boma beckons with golden lanterns and never-ending stars to light your way…
