OVERVIEW
Simple, down-to-earth and friendly, Sango Safari Camp consists of just six tents overlooking the floodplains around the Khwai River. An easy drive from Maun, its location offers access to the permanent water of the river, seasonal floodplains, open grasslands, dry woodlands and riverine forest. This diversity attracts and supports a wide variety of wildlife, including lion, leopard, spotted hyena, 440 bird species and even wild dogs. If you feel like a change, head to the hide and watch the passing parade of giraffe, elephant, hippo, lechwe, zebra, impala…
Being in the Khwai Community Area and near Moremi Game Reserve means Sango (named after a family from Khwai Village who helped get the camp up and running) can undertake full-day game drives, maximising your time in the bush.
