OVERVIEW
The Great Rift Valley is not only an astounding geological feature, it also creates a mild micro-climate for the areas it covers. This means that while Lake Nakuru National Park follows the same seasonal rhythm as the rest of Kenya, the summers, winters and rains are not as extreme, making for a very pleasant environment.
Lake Nakuru Lodge is ideally placed to take advantage of this, with lovely views and easy access to the park’s endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and white rhino, as well 450 bird and 50 mammal species. A great and unusual way to explore is on horseback while highlights like the Makalia Falls and Baboon Cliff (Nakuru’s highest point) await. This large lodge has both family and mobility-adapted rooms.
