OVERVIEW
As the first site in Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve), Beho Beho has an amazing location on Kipalala Hill overlooking the floodplain of the Rufiji River. Nearby, the Msine tributary of the Beho Beho River attracts even more game while water birds and semi-aquatic species can be appreciated boating on Lake Tagalala. This is a remote wonderland of teeming riverine forests and thriving miombo woodland.
At ‘home’, you can choose between a banda and the private house. All have welcome extras like private pools and telescopes out the deck for constant game viewing. From camp, you can walk to the grave of Frederick Courtney Selous, after whom the park was originally named. This is definitely a kick-off-your-shoes lodge!
