Community Rhino Conservation Initiative
An income-generating project that seen rhino return to the area for the first time in decades

Healthcare
Bomani supports the Ngamo Clinic and the Smile and See Safari, during which international doctors provide dental and eye care to villagers free of charge

Water Provision
Working with Wills Wells, Bomani helps construct and maintain boreholes, wells and solar pumps to ensure communities have access to clean water

Food Security
Assisting a multi-pronged approach that includes drought-resistant seeds, food aid, fencing for vegetable gardens and a school-feeding scheme

Bomani helps support numerous schools with supplies and infrastructure development, including Sidinda and Lumbora Primaries and Ngamo Secondary

OVERVIEW

This is one of the only places in the world where you can undertake a ‘game drive’ by train, spend a full day out in the field checking waterhole pumps and seeing the remarkable come-back of rhino, once considered lost forever. In summer, add canoeing on pristine seasonal floodplains and you have the safari of a lifetime.

Bomani Tented Camp is positioned in a private concession on the Ngamo Plains of Hwange, Zimbabwe’s flagship national park. A classic camp, it has all the traditional markers like teak decks, high thatched roofs and romantic four-poster beds swathed in mosquito netting. Accommodation includes honeymoon and family tents, with the pool providing an unobstructed view of passing breeding herds of elephants.
