OVERVIEW
There are literal cannons at Cannonier Golf Resort and Spa but fear not, they’ve not been fired for centuries! The resort is built on grounds that include the remains of an old fort, the lighthouse of which has been turned into a funky hangout for teenagers. Cannoniers is popular with families because it is a short distance from the vibrant shops, attractions and nightlife of Grand Baie.
The resort’s unique position also gives it two beaches, each with a different atmosphere. The kids’ club has its own playground while an old banyan tree is home to the spa. Everyone can try archery, padel, yoga and mini golf – serious golfers can head out to nearby Mont Choisy Golf Course.
