CONSERVATION & CHARITY

Conservation
Together with the Time + Tide Foundation, Miavana supports the preservation of especially turtles, a colony of terns and translocated crowned lemurs. As part of rewilding Nosy Ankao, around 100 000 trees were planted.

Community engagement
Several education and health interventions are undertaken in the island’s village especially for disadvantaged children.

OVERVIEW

Chopper in from Diego Suarez or Nosy Be to what is arguably Madagascar’s most luxurious beach lodge. Lying on Nosy Ankao, the largest of five islands in a north-eastern archipelago, Miavana has 14 villas, each with its own plunge pool, butler, kitchenette and deck overlooking the deep turquoise ocean. Up at the Piazza or main lodge area, you’ll find a spa, another pool, a wine cellar, a boutique and a ‘curiosities cabinet’ filled with amazing natural history finds.

There is so much to do and see at Miavana that you can be as active or relaxed as you like. Start with sunrise yoga on the helipad and then take your pick of anything from scuba diving and lemur tracking to a picnic for lunch.
