Conservation
The Time + Tide Foundation helps protect vital lemur habitat against deforestation for charcoal production and agricultural expansion. The TTF also works to ensure the continuing biodiversity of the Losy Manambato Protected Area ecosystem.
Education
In addition to supporting the village primary school, TFF also provides teacher training and employs teachers.
OVERVIEW
Tsara Komba lies in its own Eden, a garden of 200 plant species, many of them endemic to Madagascar. This, of course, attracts the beautiful lemurs, chameleons, birds and lizards that make this part of the world so enticing. Found on Nosy Komba, this beach and forest lodge is ringed by the other paradise islands of Mamoko, Kisimany and Iranja.
Life at Tsara Komba can be as relaxed or active as you like: the beach, warm ocean and verdant forest provide you with opportunities to go lemur trekking, enjoy picnics, track turtles and watch passing whales. When you return from snorkelling or kayaking, enjoy a late-afternoon massage before taking in the sunset and seeing millions of stars light up the sea…
