OVERVIEW
The Kogatende area of the northern Serengeti is one of the most sought-after places to be from about July every year because the wildebeest have started reaching one of the most heart-stopping stages of their perpetual migration: crossing the Mara River. Location and proximity to the water (and herds) is everything – and Kaskaz Migration Camp has both in spades.
This relaxed and homely camp puts you in the midst of the action, as predators move in to take advantage of the plentiful prey. Kaskaz guides will take you on game drives and nature walks, while a special treat is sunrise hot-air balloon safari over the savannah to appreciate not only the size of the herds but how far they have travelled.
