OVERVIEW
Because it is built on privately owned land near South Luangwa National Park, Nkwali Camp is one of the very few in the area that is open through the rainy summer season. This gives visitors the chance to take a boating safari through flooded lagoons, where only the tallest trees emerge from the water. Its location also provides the best of both worlds: access to the public park and night drives on private land.
The open-fronted chalets allow for natural air conditioning and vistas of the mercurial Luangwa River beyond. Between exciting safari activities like birding and nature walks, you can enjoy a slice of Zambian life at Kawaza village and Tribal Textiles, where beautiful fabrics are printed from scratch.
