OVERVIEW
Because Chada Katavi is closed for six months of the year, the game here is some of the ‘wildest’ in Africa. After not seeing cars or humans much for half a year, their reactions and behaviour are at their most natural and instinctive, making for truly exhilarating sightings. Elephants are vocal and hippos keep up a continuous chortle, as if they’re telling jokes about us underwater…
The camp is also immersed in how the world used to be. With just six tents, it is intimate enough for a whole group to take over and provides a complete break from the intrusions of modernity. Coupled with nature walks on the Chada floodplain and fly-camping under the Milky Way, you’ll relax completely.
