OVERVIEW
No roads, no Wi-Fi, no air conditioning… no limits to how much wildlife you can see on your walking safari through South Luangwa National Park! Accessible only on foot, Chikoko Tree Camp is rebuilt every high season from scratch by local artisans. Taking a limited number of guests into its three double-storey chalets that are shaded by a grove of acacia trees, the camp is powered by campfire and solar energy, and puts you totally in touch with nature.
Every morning you get your boots and spend time out with your guide, wildlife authority ranger and tea bearer – you may even get to Perekani, the spot where Dr David Livingstone crossed the Luangwa River on his quest for Victoria Falls.
