OVERVIEW
The Kanana Concession in the south-western Okavango Delta is fed by the Xudum River and its seasonal floodplains are home to all the expected species and, if you’re really lucky, glimpses of cheetah and white rhino. Kanana Camp makes the most of this abundance by guaranteeing all guests a window seat on game drives so there are never more than four people to a vehicle. Their mokoros (canoes) are even more special: the bottoms are glass so you can see the fish, frogs, aquatic plants and freshwater crabs… This is a unique activity that shows you life beneath the water.
The camp is built around a massive strangler fig and has a wonderful sleep-out deck 15 minutes away – a must-do for honeymooners!
