OVERVIEW
The name Zarafa or ‘beloved one’ encompasses so much about this special camp in the Selinda Reserve. From the lovingly crafted tents (made of wood reclaimed from the Indian Ocean tsunami) and copper bathtubs that envelop you in natural warmth to the main areas lit with soft lantern light, this is a romantic camp that ticks all the boxes for a safari honeymoon. Each tent has a private plunge pool, a bed-cooling system, fitness equipment and the option of in-room massages. Shaded by mature ebony trees and with views over the Zibadianja Lagoon, rooms are comfortable, cosy and airy – all at once.
Outside, Selinda provides almost non-stop game action: wild dogs den nearby in dry season and there’s a good cheetah population.
