CONSERVATION & COMMUNITY
Traders Walk
This complex on the grounds supports the Shanga workshop and boutique where disabled artisans transform recyclable material into unusual gifts and jewellery
OVERVIEW
Although its origins date to the early 1900s when the fertile slopes of Mount Meru were found to be the perfect spot to grow coffee beans, today Arusha Coffee Lodge is beautifully appointed accommodation amidst sprawling grounds on the outskirts of the key town on the Northern Circuit. Expect all the services of a modern hotel – such as in-room meals, babysitting and a travel desk – coupled with a subtle coffee theme and exemplary service.
Traders Walk (a hub for restaurateurs and craftspeople) and the Peaberries Spa mean you don’t have to leave the grounds to shop for tanzanite jewellery, support disabled artisans or enjoy a cup of the freshest brew you’ll ever savour… a welcome start or end to your Tanzanian safari.
