OVERVIEW
Big Bend is one of the most famous curves of the mighty Luangwa River and, nestled amid the verdant miombo woodland that surrounds it, is Chikunto Safari Lodge. While all the views are beautiful, perhaps the most special is the 360-degree vista from the elevated starbed, which soars six metres / 20 feet into the air. This platform, with its own bathroom, is attached to the Deluxe Combination Suite and is favourite of those who want to sleep under the stars.
Chikunto also features a saltwater lap pool with counter-current technology that allows you to swim ‘against the tide’ for as long as you like without reaching the pool’s wall – ideal to work off the afternoon tea, sundowners and tasty meals!
