OVERVIEW
Near the village of Kachikau near the Ngoma Gate of Chobe National Park, Chobe Elephant Camp is a little village itself. Spread along a rocky ridge overlooking the floodplain, rooms are constructed of sandbags with zinc roofs, making them feel like traditional houses hidden among the mature trees. Paths connect all the camp’s different areas, giving you a feeling of space. Even the pool is away from the main area, granting sunbathers privacy.
Three highlights – besides the heart-stopping action of game drives in Chobe – are visits with the Sibuya tribe, a day-trip to Victoria Falls and paddling out onto the water. This is a wonderful start to the day and your guide will point out storks, hippos, vervet monkeys and other wildlife that thrives here.
