OVERVIEW
Imagine being around a tenth of Kenya’s black and white rhino population and amid a fifth of its Grevy’s zebras… it’s possible at Lewa Safari Camp. Lying in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy near Mount Kenya, this is a conservation success story where the woodlands, grasslands and forest teem with elephant, gazelle, raptors, predators and more.
A laid back lodge under thatch, Lewa Safari Camp puts the spotlight on the landscape and game. Rooms are understated and airy, with views over the acacia trees (birders could easily pass the day on the private deck with a pair of binos to hand). Fun safari activities like river swimming, horse riding and camel trekking allow you to really immerse yourself in bush bliss.
