OVERVIEW
Sharing a very long border with south-western Etosha National Park, Etosha Heights is a varied private reserve that has everything from mopane woodland and riverine forest to classic savannah and semi-desert. This makes it a haven for large herds of kudu and springbok who are preyed upon by lion, cheetah and – hiding in their mountain lairs – leopards.
A classic thatched collection of chalets that is raised to take in the views, Etosha Mountain Lodge offers a very comfortable stay with air conditioning throughout and a private plunge pool at the family unit. Because it is in a conservancy, night drives are possible and, with literally thousands of stars to light the way, you can look for porcupine, aardvark and bush pigs.
