OVERVIEW
As a luxury tented camp, Finch Hattons is as diverse as the landscape in which it finds itself. Featuring a tall lookout tower, a stargazing deck, dedicated kids’ clubhouse with television and other diversions such as games and DVDs, a hammam, a cigar bar and wine cellar, there is plenty to do at the lodge itself. Outside, Tsavo West National Park includes the Chyulu Hills, rainforest, the Yatta Plateau and the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary – all just waiting to be discovered…
Because it is in a private concession, you can look for nocturnal animals like bushbabies or bat-eared foxes on night drives. Elephants appear red because of the intense volcanic dust and more than 500 bird species can be spotted by twitchers.
