OVERVIEW
No matter whether you arrive by road or helicopter, no doubt you will be awed by Gorilla’s Nest’s location in a grove of tall eucalyptus trees. The nearest accommodation to the entrance of Volcanoes National Park, it is perfect for gorilla trekkers who also want a super-luxe experience with every detail taken care of, like a ‘welcome back’ massage and snuggly hot-water bottle.
Although mountain gorillas and other primates like golden monkeys are the drawcard, Gorilla’s Nest offers a plethora of other experiences like classic movies under the stars, trail running through the forest, reiki sessions and chakra rebalancing. Meals are outstanding and use produce from the garden while all the rooms have cosy wood-burning fireplaces and private decks with gorgeous views.
