OVERVIEW
Even on safari is the mantra of ‘location, location, location’ true. Ilala Lodge Hotel has arguably the best possible location, being the closest accommodation to the Victoria Falls and an easy walk from this natural wonder of the world. In fact, in green season the spray is sometimes so high and the roar of the falling water so loud that both can be detected at Ilala itself!
Named after the iconic palm trees and the Ndebele word for ‘lie down’, Ilala Lodge Hotel has extensive gardens and room types to cater for every kind of traveller. Impala and warthog graze on the grounds, and the sun-drenched swimming pools are the place to be on hot afternoons, possibly with a cold Zambezi Lager.
