OVERVIEW
For an experienced safari lover, what could be better than being able to watch game directly from bed, overlooking the largest pan in Mana Pools National Park? Ingwe Pan Camp is named after the elusive leopards that rest in the area’s mature trees (‘ingwe’ means leopard), which is a private concession within the park itself, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The charming camp has been deliberately carefully designed to have the lowest possible footprint without sacrificing too much comfort. Hairdryers and air conditioners have been eschewed in favour of stunning views and an authentic Zimbabwean safari, right down to alfresco dining under ebony and fig trees, and sundowners on the water’s edge or on the Chiruwe riverbed.
