OVERVIEW
There is something very relaxing about being surrounded by calm, clear water, the quietness broken by the occasional grunt of a hippo or iconic cry of a fish eagle. Because Kala is a water-based camp, there is no need for pre-dawn wake-up calls, which is perfect if you’re ending a long land-based safari with dusty game drives. The emphasis here is on appreciating the lagoons, lakes and channels of the Okavango Delta’s Panhandle where there is always some degree of permanent water.
Your tent has everything you need, including a private deck so you can read, doze or spot some of the hundreds of birds that also call this their sanctuary. Kala Camp is a superb option for a DNA – do nothing at all – safari…
