OVERVIEW
Set in almost 10 hectares / 24 acres of manicured gardens and indigenous forest, Lairds Lodge is a welcoming mix of traditional country estate with a modern approach to cuisine and service. The Cape Dutch manor house harks back to a refined past while the ample gardens allow for reading, napping, sunbathing and birding (look out for curious vervet monkeys!). There are two swimming pools, including a more secluded ‘forest pool’ where you can easily forget you are between the Garden Route’s two most popular towns.
The limited number of rooms means guests can be pampered with service and attention to detail. Breakfasts and dinners have a reputation for being tasty South African food, accompanied by tipples from the cosy wine cellar.
