OVERVIEW
Because it is set on 1 800 hectares / 4 450 acres of private land adjacent to Madikwe, Last Word Makanyane is able to offer special bush stops and one-of-a-kind experiences not permitted in the game reserve itself. In addition to classic game drives and nature walks, you could opt for an interesting guided township tour or go behind the scenes to see how the reserve operates, giving you a fuller picture of both South Africa and Big 5 conservation.
Last Word Makanyane takes guests of 12 and older, and all the suites face the lush riverine forest surrounding the meandering Marico river. And where there is water, game is sure to follow: don’t be surprised to see an elephant grazing peacefully outside!
