Mombo is completely solar powered and treats all wastewater above ground to ensure the ecosystem is not polluted. Chemicals and detergents are eco-friendly and a reverse osmosis system cuts out the need for water bottled in plastic
OVERVIEW
Mombo is ‘the place of plenty’ and seldom was a camp better named. The Mombo Wildlife Area in the central Okavango Delta is incredibly productive when it comes to game viewing, offering the possibility of seeing rarer and sought-after species like honey badgers, pangolin and even black and white rhino. All the big cats are regularly spotted and the groves of mangosteen and fig trees make the perfect lairs for Mombo’s famous leopards.
The camp is very stylish and décor echoes the shadows and shades found naturally in the bush, making interiors feel cool and restful. All of this punctuated by unexpected materials and colours, like the deep copper bathtubs, leather chesterfield sofas, slatted wooden shutters and unusual chandeliers.
