It’s the view that takes your breath away… From the ridge, you look across savannah and woodland down to the Tarangire River, a favourite with the park’s sizable elephant population. Mpingo Ridge Lodge makes the most of this prime location, from your outdoor tub and siesta bed to the sparkling infinity swimming pool.

The décor is understated, with aspects of mid-century modern furniture meeting contemporary Africa. And although there is the convenience of Wi-Fi, there is also the old-school romance of gas lanterns.
