OVERVIEW
Queen Elizabeth National Park is arguably the most biodiverse in Uganda with 95 mammal species (including chimpanzees) and 619 recorded bird species (the second-highest in Africa). This cornucopia of wildlife is thanks to multiple habitats, including the Rwenzoris (also known as the Mountains of the Moon), Katwe Crater and Lakes Edward and George.
Mweya Safari Lodge is a sprawling property on the shore of the Kazinga Channel. Boasting unusual facilities like a hair salon, sauna and steam bath, it is also the starting point for exciting game drives, exhilarating hot-air ballooning and unforgettable chimp trekking. At the end of the day, sundowners on the deck overlooking the wide channel are the perfect way to toast another wonderful day on safari.
