OVERVIEW

It wouldn’t be surprising to see an actual nyala grazing shyly around Nyala Safari Lodge: antelope, vervet monkeys and birdlife all make their home here. Lying on the seasonal Mohlabetsi river – with the curves of the main area following the twists of the water – Nyala gives a limited number of guests a peaceful haven in Balule Nature Reserve, a Big 5 stronghold.

When you’re not out on twice-daily game drives, you have your pick of lazing in a hammock on the deck, doing yoga in your room, working out in the outdoor gym or spotting game coming down to drink at the waterhole, which is floodlit at night. Nyala even has a rarely used television room for those must-see sports matches!
