CONSERVATION & COMMUNITY
Community Outreach
Via the Amrit Foundation and sometimes in collaboration with the Divinity Foundation, Ol Tukai is involved in medical care through the Makindu Hospital and clinics around Amboseli. They also support the Ndabibi and Enkong’u Narok Primary Schools and the Ndabibi High School with infrastructure, classroom supplies and sanitary ware. Clothing and shoes are provided for under fives and food parcels are dispensed during times of drought.
OVERVIEW
Ol Tukai Lodge immediately brings home that you are in Africa with stunning views of glacier-capped Mount Kilimanjaro and the wetlands of Amboseli National Park outside. Inside, expect tasteful African décor and contemporary rooms with clean lines. As a large lodge, it has a sizable swimming pool and grounds to match, and the resident ornithologist can take you around between game drives to show you Amboseli’s magnificent birds.
Each of the 80 rooms has either views of Kilimanjaro or of the bush, and there are plenty of triple or 3-bed options for small groups or those with young children travelling together. In addition, some rooms have been fitted to EU standards for guests with limited mobility and are suitable for wheelchair users.
