OVERVIEW

The Old Drift is named a historic ‘drift’ or ford where ox-wagons used to have to cross the Zambezi River. A contemporary lodge now marks the spot and has been built with references to the past – like the use of zinc sheeting – blending with modern touches. The result is a stylish home away from home right on the Zambezi River.

Old Drift’s location on the border of Victoria Falls National Park means that impala, warthog and even the occasional elephant wander the unfenced grounds (the park has no big cats). This is a great spot to keep the ‘safari feeling’ going while also being within easy striking distance of the Victoria Falls and memorable activities like sunrise and sunset river cruises.
