OVERVIEW
The Oude Werf – ‘The Old Yard’ – can trace its storied history back to 1686, when a hotel was built on this site in Stellenbosch’s famous Church Street. The original structure may be gone but elements of subsequent buildings remain to make The Oude Werf a charming coming together of old and new.
Its enviable location means you can walk to many of Stellenbosch’s most vibrant dining and shopping options, all while being ringed by some of the country’s best wine estates. The concierge can make reservations for meals and activities, or you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinner at the hotel, where the menus reflect Tant Betje Wium’s old recipes from when she was an owner in the distant past.
