CONSERVATION & COMMUNITY
Sustainability
Pom Pom Camp has solar power, uses only energy-saving appliances and lightbulbs, and has an above-ground sewage treatment plant. The thatched design and efficient insulation systems allow for natural temperature control
Community Outreach
Pom Pom Camp is a member of Pack For A Purpose and supports Mummy’s Angels, which collects items for new mothers. Both organisations accept guest donations
OVERVIEW
Pom Pom is a very unassuming camp where you have everything you need and nothing you don’t! Built from classic thatch and timber, it has no need to compete with the spectacular natural beauty that surrounds it, from the lily-and-hippo-filled lagoon to the Pel’s fishing owls hooting from the mature trees. Pom Pom Camp is renowned for excellent predator sightings, especially leopard, lion and wild dog.
Pom Pom is a true ‘kick off your shoes and go barefoot’ camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Children are entertained with a special programme all of their own while grown-ups can unwind at the pool or keep their binoculars trained on whatever passes the wide decks that lead off the communal areas.
