There are so many ways to explore Nyerere National Park, the biggest in Tanzania and one of the largest in the world. At Rufiji River Lodge, you can head out on a classic game drive in an open-sided vehicle, lace up your boots for a guided nature walk or feel the cooling breeze on a boat skimming the all-important Rufiji River. Whatever you choose, the guides are locals and know the area intimately. Nyerere is said to be home to two-thirds of the country’s wild dog population and a third of its sizable elephant herds.
