OVERVIEW
‘Savuti’ is thought to mean ‘mystery’ and refers to the Savuti channel that disappears for years before resurfacing. While the channel might be unreliable, Savuti Camp definitely isn’t: it delivers reliable game viewing, exciting activities (sleepouts, ballooning, helicopter flights, night drives and fishing are all allowed here) and a laid-back atmosphere. If this isn’t enough, it is situated in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, which is an Important Bird Area (IBA) and guides have private access to a very long stretch of the Savuti Channel.
At camp, there is a family tent, a pool and a wonderful hide. The cherry on the top is the starbed… Fall asleep listening to the night sounds with nothing between you and the African moon.
