OVERVIEW
In Malagasy (the language of Madagascar), ‘nosy’ means island and the setting of Nosy Boraha or Sainte-Marie island is idyllic for the Soanambo Hotel & Spa. This spacious hotel has glorious views of the deep azure Indian Ocean, which is fringed by soft, golden sandy beaches. There are plentiful indoor and outdoor activities to choose from including padel, snorkelling, kayaking and tennis. If you need a cultural fix, head to Ambodifotatra Fort, Ampanihy Bay or Ile aux Nattes.
From mid-year to September, daily whale-watching excursions take place to see humpback whales on their seasonal migration: be sure to bring your binoculars along to enjoy them breaching and blowing! Soanambo has a 3-bedroom villa with a heated pool that is popular with families.
