OVERVIEW
Do you want to go on safari via a microlight or mountain bike? Tafika Camp is likely the only place in Africa where you can do both. The emphasis at this laidback but cosy camp on the Luangwa River is on getting out and exploring as much as possible – from night drives to days in the hides. In May, have exclusive access to a yellow-billed stork colony; in August, search for graceful crowned cranes.
Tafika is close to three distinct habitats: the Luangwa riverside, Mutanda plains, and Chichele and Kajonke Pans (great for serval). These support an abundance of species, including excellent leopard sightings. Back at camp, enjoy leisurely dinners at the water’s edge, as the night sounds of Africa slowly begin…
