OVERVIEW
The Kalahari is sometimes overlooked as a prime safari destination but The Motse at Tswalu Kalahari Game Reserve proves how productive a semi-desert can be. This colossal tract of private land shelters pangolin, aardvark, cheetah, lion, oryx, black rhino, brown hyena, mountain zebra and pygmy falcon. You can seek them out on foot, game drive (guaranteed private vehicle and personal guide and tracker), horseback or even helicopter. Interact with habituated meerkats and sleep out in the Korannaberg.
The Motse has been beautifully and sensitively designed to complement the Kalahari’s iconic red sands. Lots of natural materials have been used to create sophisticated earthy interiors with every modern convenience. Photographers can arrange a custom vehicle with a guide trained in wildlife photography.
