OVERVIEW
Thorntree River Lodge is upstream from the Victoria Falls, right on the Zambezi River in Zambia’s Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. The river here is wide, meandering and peaceful, imbuing the lodge with a sense of contented calm. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone happy like tracking rare white rhinos, cultural tours to Simonga village and the Maramba and Makuni Markets, guided kayaking (look out for gannets and spotted thick-knees) as well as trip to the Falls.
Rooms are very spacious with two family tents and a childminding service. Children are welcome and specially catered for in the Ngwana Club with age-appropriate activities of all kinds, from arts & crafts to bushcraft. Adults can head to the spa and gym to unwind.
